Two digital SLR’s prototypes under development at Sony

In order to solidify their position on the digital SLR market, Sony has presented at PMA 2007 trade Show (held between March 8th and 11th in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA), two prototypes of digital SLR camera bodies and interchangeable lenses which are currently under development. These prototypes are planned to be launched in addition to the existing portfolio of the ‘α100’ camera body and the 21 interchangeable lenses including Carl Zeiss lenses and more than 45 pieces of accessories.
With these new cameras Sony will offer to the customers more options.as the second wave of products includes interchangeable lenses suitable for high-end enthusiast and professional use.
“With the added choice of camera bodies coupled with enlarged interchangeable lens portfolio, we believe ‘α’ helps our customers spur their creativity and putting it differently, ‘α’ unlocks the full potential of digital SLR,” said the Sony spokesman.
A new image sensor and new BIONZ image processing engine, both currently under development, the feature ‘Super SteadyShot inside’ are e little preview of the new cameras.
