Living Together - photo contest

British Council Presents Living Together.

Living Together competition, open from September 2008 – March 2009 and theme for this competition is Intercultural Dialogue.

Through photography, the competition aims to encourage a creative dialogue about the impact of migration on societies throughout Europe and neighbouring countries, with a focus on South East Europe, and the participation of minority communities in public life.
We want to see your creative response to issues affecting young people.

Rules:

-Your entries must be uploaded to our website by no later than 15 March 2009. Any entries submitted after this time will not be considered.
-Entry is FREE, you can enter up to three photos, one for each brief.
-Please caption your entries to explain what they are about.
-This competition is open to residents in the following countries - Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Georgia, Greece, Kosovo, (FYR) Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, Turkey, Israel, United Kingdom.
-The entries you submit must be taken by you - you must own the copyright.
-You can submit entries that were created before the competition start date.
-Your photos must be of a reasonably large file size and high quality - minimum file size 1 megabyte and maximum file size 5 megabytes. Your photos must be in Jpeg format.
-Participants are asked to accept that any image submitted as part of the competition may be used by British Council and Shoot Experience Ltd for future publicity and commercial purposes. For publicity purposes we will always credit you where possible. For commercial purposes see our Terms & Conditions. The copyright of the photographs remains yours.
We will not tolerate or accept derogatory or obscene photographs, or photographs containing nudity. Any photograph deemed to be of such a nature will result in immediate disqualification from this and future events. Please respect the property of others.
When captioning your photos please refrain from using offensive words.
-All communication with you will be via the email address you provided when signing up.
-Participants must have written permission before submitting identifiable photos of anyone who is under the age of 16.
-Winners must be available to appear in press photos and provide quotes for press use if required.
-Employees of British Council and Shoot Experience, any company involved in the Competition or any company connected with Shoot Experience or any such person’s subsidiary or associated companies, agents or members of their families or households, are not eligible to enter the Competition.
